Govt ‘released Covid-19 virus’ to stop Bharat Jodo Yatra, claims Shiv Sena’s ‘Saamana’

On May 2, the Shiv Sena’s mouthpiece ‘Saamana’ claimed that the government had released the Covid-19 virus to stop the Bharat Jodo yatra. The yatra was proposed by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat to unite Hindu society. The paper also said that the government is using the pandemic as an excuse to stop the yatra.

The yatra was slated to begin from Kerala’s Kanyakumari on February 21 and end in Gujarat’s Somnath on April 11. The Shiv Sena claimed that the yatra would have united Hindus and inspired them to protect their faith.
