The Office is a long running tv series mockumentary about the goings on in an office. Steve Carell (who was formerly on the Daily Show [I did not know that]) is the main star. Most of the people in the office are very eccentric and have some kind of major idiosyncrasy. While the show was hilarious to me for the first four season, I do think that the show relied a bit too heavily on racist humor (which was generally funny) to carry it. By about half way through the fourth season I felt that the show had run its course for me. The show is still running into its 9th season. This actually amazes me as I have lost interest in the show and it amazes me how people can keep watching it for so long.
Why have I lost interest in the show?
The Pam and Jim romance reached its conclusion.
The idiosyncrasies of all the other characters are fully tapped out from my perspective.
How long can a show about an office remain interesting?
