I give two bits about hockey, but this is not about hockey. So there's a black guy named Joel Ward who plays for the Washington Capitals and he scores the winning goals against the Boston Bruins. Then a ton of hockey fans took to Twitter and called him a f'ing n*****. I guess this shows that the hate's still there. There's a lot of places it's not, but a lot of places it is.
Here's a link to a collection of the low lights:
The NHL lambasted the remarks and there's some analysis here: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/hocke...ins/54564300/1
I have to say I was pretty surprised. I thought the guy was the goalee and he let a puck get past him, but then it turned out he was the guy who made the winning shot. Wow. I just picture a bunch of 40-50 year old high school educated Irish guys and other white guys sitting around on their sofa saying f'ing n*****.
