OK, a lot of cartoons have been remade:
My Little Pony
Here's an idea: remake Exosquad. Exosquad is a great cartoon that no one ever heard of and if they had, it would have been a classic. For starters it's not a Roadrunner/Wile E. Coyote cartoon where characters eat dynamite and explode and try on rocket skates and things like that.
It's a story about a world several centuries into the future and the entire storyline parallels the European/African Theater of World War II. In the future, mankind has genetically created some beings that are stronger than people and in some ways smarter, so that they can cope with settled worlds on Mars and Venus. They were used as slaves until they rebelled. They get crushed but eventually get semi-independence. The humans get raided by pirates and send their entire military force to go fight the pirates when the genetically created guys (Neo-Sapiens) attack them and overrun Earth, Venus and they already had Mars to begin with.
The series does not need to be re-made, but it never got a fair hearing the first time. No computer technology was used on it the first time it came out in the 90's and to use some Rick Perry slang: I'll tell you that if you re-create it with computer animation it will look amazing.
I just discovered this graphic and it is fucking insane. Drop dead gorgeous.
If they do recreate it, some racial diversity would be appreciated this time.
