This is a thread for dumping posts of members who have been banned. Not all banned members posts are dumped, but sometimes they clutter the main forum and then we dump them here.

"When I entered Republican politics during an earlier period of malaise, in the late seventies and early eighties, the movement got most of the big questions -- crime, inflation, the Cold War -- right. This time, the party is getting the big questions disastrously wrong."

"In the aftershock of 2008, large numbers of Americans feel exploited and abused. Rather than workable solutions, my party is offering low taxes for the currently rich and high spending for the currently old, to be followed by who-knows-what and who-the-hell-cares. This isn't conservatism; it's a going-out-of-business sale for the baby-boom generation."

    - David Frum, former speech writer for George W. Bush

"This is just ridiculous. I never thought as an economist I would have to spend so much time doing political analysis."

"This is your board, your little piece of North Korean ideology"

What utter nonsense, trickle down economics does not work. People are losing their houses, unable to feed their family and so the supper rich may have to pay more in taxes and this upsets you, give me a break!

The super rich have made their money from the labours of the working class, now it is time for the super rich to return the favour. Our country is dying from the bottom up, so cut the crap about business may suffer, people are suffering now. The amount of taxes we are talking about is insignificant to those affected, but the benefit to the poor are absolutely necessary.

FYI I qualify for the increase tax rate and would happily pay more in taxes if it means a that someone can feed their family.

    No freedom to "express emotions"

Engaging? The conversation has consisted of one statement and two half sentences, one of which was welcoming a new forum member. However I was not aware we were not allowed to express emotions on this forum. I have been corrected. However let me close by saying the way out of this financial hole is to pay for the mess 'we' created rather than leaving it to our children.

Hey, Nybrit, my welcome to you for joining the forum. Don't close because I think you've got plenty to say and plenty to add to the discussion. I perceived W.E.B. saying the conversation is very engaging means that it has a lot potential among other things. Let's just go on with your opinions and your warrants for them. I think we're all interested in what each other has to say.

Just making polite conversation. I see that it was wasted.

You did not express emotion, you falsely attributed an emotion to someone else. If you feel that you cannot express your emotions, the next step is for you to leave. I'll relocate this to the dump and you can make your decision if you want to take your obnoxious attitude to another venue.
