    What happened to Pottersville Forum?

WEB and all here. I've just signed on and wish a forum to express my concerns. I am new to computers and forums. I was on one I rather liked, but it closed suddenly and I've just been looking around. I hope to point to evidence to back any claim/assertion I might make. Y'all will soon enough discover my political leanings. BTW, I think I like it rather small, feeling my way you see.

    Thanks, JWB

What was the old forum that you were on? It might display as asterisks due to the forum's spam guard, but I'm just curious anyway.

"When I entered Republican politics during an earlier period of malaise, in the late seventies and early eighties, the movement got most of the big questions -- crime, inflation, the Cold War -- right. This time, the party is getting the big questions disastrously wrong."

"In the aftershock of 2008, large numbers of Americans feel exploited and abused. Rather than workable solutions, my party is offering low taxes for the currently rich and high spending for the currently old, to be followed by who-knows-what and who-the-hell-cares. This isn't conservatism; it's a going-out-of-business sale for the baby-boom generation."

    - David Frum, former speech writer for George W. Bush

"This is just ridiculous. I never thought as an economist I would have to spend so much time doing political analysis."

    - Diane Swonk, chief economist at Mesirow Financial

I was wondering myself what happened to Pottersville? A friend of mine used to write on that one and then he got banned but, now we're trying to find out how to get his blogs or writings off of it. Can you tell me How I can find it or the person who ran it.

    How should I know?

I would speculate that maybe the admin got tired of the members. That happened to me once. I ran a rather large forum and I decided I had enough with the members and closed the forum.

I've never even heard of Pottersville though. Definitely a minor minor forum to my knowledge.

    2 things:

I saw two forums which I believe were closed immediately due to the forum owner being fed up with his members: Whistlestopper and Bear Pit.

This conversation should have its own thread. I'm putting them on a new one.
