I thought it was a pretty good speech. I'd give it an A-, or perhaps an A. There were a lot of really nice lines like, and I paraphrase here:
There are some countries that can turn a blind eye to atrocities. The United States is different. (That was my favorite fuckin' line. I cheered out loud when he said that. Truthful, understated, pithy and classy.)
The Libyan people will determine their own future and that is how it should be.
People around the world who yearn to be free will find a friend in the United States.
He also did a good job up front talking about the atrocities of Gaddafi that provoked the war. He made a solid moral and pragmatic case for the war. It wasn't abstract or cerebral. Your average American comes away from that speech having gotten the idea. In those respects it was an excellent speech.
