Weekly dose of sanity with Shields and Brooks

I highly recommend the 10 minute segment that comes on every Friday night at around 7:30 PM on PBS called "Shields and Brooks" on PBS News Hour with Jim Lehrer.

David Brooks is a conservative New York Times writer and admitted recovered liberal (he left the left a while ago). He is highly sane though.

Mark Shields is the former moderator of The Capital Gang, a McLaughlin Group type show. He is a liberal.

One of the best takeaways was when Brooks says that the Republicans are going to win the elections even though polling shows they are less liked than the Democrats. Shields says this is an inside (Washington) vs outside election. The outs have the advantage.
