View Full Version : How We Face the Prospects of Future Islamist-Terrorist Attacks
Last month Michael Leiter, the Director of the National Counterterrorism Center delivered remarks at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in which he recommended that the country adopt an attitude of “quiet, confident resilience” against the highly likely prospect of more terrorist attacks on our country—this, as opposed to reacting in ways inspired more out of emotion and fear. I think this makes sense.

So what he is saying is, we ought just sit back and let them hit us, then and only then, react to it?
BS!
Search them out where ever they might be and kill them. We don't need to be noisy about it, but just kill them.

What is he saying we should do? Take long hot shower with those that would kill us and sing Kumbya around a campfire as we share somores?
Maybe I don't understand what you are getting at.
Do you have a link to his words?

Do you have a link to his words? To answer your first question, no, I don't think that's what he is saying, either. I'm not getting at anything if by that you mean what am "I" trying to say--it seems like a good topic of discussion, that's all. To respond to your second question, I'll obtain a link and post it for you. (This appears to be satisfactory although I haven't viewed it. I'll search for a transcript if necessary. http://csis.org/event/changing-terrorist-threat-and-nctc’s-response )

You seem to be coming from a military paradigm, so let me ask YOU to elaborate on your point of view. Tell me how you think the military is handling things in terms of PREVENTING another terrorist attack (AQ.) What improvements or changes do YOU recommend?

Fair enough.
First thanks for the link. I will get to it in a minute.
Yes, I am military. I'm a United State Marine.
My first improvement to counter this muslim war on the West would be to immediately pull our forces out of Afghanistan. I would try to have our forces in two major countries....Pakistan and Iraq. These are the two important countries in countering the center of gravity of this muslim war on the West, Iran. They are the target. Once they are defeated the muslim war on the West will fall apart.
Does that answer your question about me?
