The Republican congressman who is taking over responsibility for congressional oversight called President Obama's administration "one of the most corrupt administrations" on Sunday and predicted that the investigations he is planning over the next two years could result in about $200 billion in savings for U.S. taxpayers.
Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), the incoming chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, was bullish in laying out his agenda for the new Congress under GOP control of the House. Issa, who as chairman will have subpoena power, said he would seek to ferret out waste across the federal bureaucracy. While he used fiery rhetoric in describing the Obama administration in a series of television interviews Sunday, he said he would focus on wasteful spending over political persecutions.
Asked on "Fox News Sunday" about reports that the White House is sta f fing up on lawyers to prepare for his oversight hearings, Issa said: "They're going to need more accountants." "It's more of an accounting function than legal function," Issa said. "It's more about the inspector generals than it is about lawyers in the White House. And the sooner the administration figures out that the enemy is the bureaucracy and the wasteful spending, not the other party, the better off we'll be."
Is this guy just a total douchebag? It seems that way to me. Political corruption is politicians enriching themselves on public money. People like Christine O'Donnell who took campaign donations to pay for the rent on her home, bowling, and gas.
I've neither seen nor heard of any evidence of such activity in the Obama administration, and so this is a total lie. Is Issa telling a total lie, partial lie, or exaggerating? Is there any evidence of what he is saying, or is this a new partisan standard: where anyone you disagree with is automatically "corrupt"?

I think he's trying to equate 'wasteful spending' with corruption, as if the two went hand in hand.

All administrations are corrupt, our government has been hijacked by the Rothschild Banking Mafia. The Soetoro administration has appointed nearly every person from either Goldman Sachs or the Federal Reserve which are both owned by the criminal Rothschild Mafia. It is time to take our government back now or we will live in tyranny forever as our rights are being taken away quickly. Every time the government stages another attack they come after our rights, just as they did after 9-11 and they are doing it again after the congresswoman was shot and others killed by a psychopathic liberal idiot. This attack has nothing to do with our first and second amendment rights but they are trying to destroy our rights because they see a chance to do so. The criminals are in our congress and white house, they are our enemy of freedom, it isn't the American people.
Anytime there is an attack of any kind, first we should look at the government as the ones who planned and staged the attack. Just as they did with the underwear bomber and then blame on al-CIA-da when the government admitted doing it in a congressional hearing. It was staged to bring in the naked body scanners to take away more of our rights, not to protect us. We don't need protection from muslim terrorists, we need protection from the government, they are the true terrorists.
The government staged the 9-11 attacks which anybody who has spent 15 minutes researching the facts would know. Only zombies who have been brainwashed by the lamestream media believe the idiotic government story. They are too lazy or stupid to look at the facts on their own.

At the risk of incurring an indictment of being brainwashed, laziness, or stupidity I would like for you to provide more details about the so-called facts. :)

Interesting though your post may be, you're drifting into several different areas and addressing several different topics at the same time. Please try to focus on the topic at hand if you can, thanks. Also, I don't personally agree with any of your statements in that post.

Mr. Issa is nothing but a publicity hound. He loves the attention. He should take the high road like President Obama did when he took office. There are many, many, many, corrupt things he could have had investigated concerning the Bush years, but Obama decided it was better to move forward and try to fix our country, instead of wasting preicious time on investigations, but the GOP has no agenda, no ideas, a Rebublican Party is dissarray and can't find it's way back.
