City commissioners in Sanford passed by a 3-2 vote a nonbinding resolution expressing no confidence in the police chief. Only the city manager, Norton N. Bonaparte Jr, can fire the police chief Bill Lee.
I think the problem here is they just won't treat the black community and the Martin family in Sanford with the same decency that they would if they were white. STILL. They STILL won't do it. They still continue to treat blacks and the Martin family like they are just some subhuman trash.
What would be happening RIGHT NOW if this was a white community and the Martin family was white?
We would hear WHY this investigation was so badly botched.
We would hear WHO was in charge of all the bad calls in the investigation:
* Drug test for Trayvan's corpse, but not for the killer Zimmerman
* Letting Zimmerman go after the shooting
* Not telling the parents for three days afterwards what happened or that they had their son's body in the medical examiner's office
* Sending in a narcotics officer instead of a homicide detective to question Zimmerman
* Rushed and "nonchalant" (words of one 911 caller) witness interviews
* Police circulating Zimmerman's claims of self-defense in the community
WHO is responsible for these decisions? These are not questions of opinion, they are questions of fact. Which officer(s) were responsible for these decisions? Tell us the names. Then tell us how they will be punished.
No. They're not going to do that, because to them, the blacks are still just a bunch of non-humans and they can fuck around and play games and hide under their desks and hope they'll go away when they're just dealing with a subhuman mob. The opinions of those people don't count. It's not like they're people to be reckoned with or respected or empathized with. It's not like they're white.
