Larry Elder makes the case for George Zimmerman here (video):

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/larry-elder-tells-good-day-la-trayvon-martin-case-is-a-civil-matter-not-a-criminal-one/

The positions taken by Elder:

* The investigation is a civil matter, not a criminal one
* The Florida authorities were doing their job
* Zimmerman just wanted the crime rate to go down

As I have shown with much facts and details; all three of these assertions are not true.

(1) Elder calls this a civil matter, which is because Zimmerman disobeyed a police order to stop following Martin, so it's like a technicality that he disobeyed a 911 order and that's it. Sounds like Elder is saying this is something you get a fine for and that's it. That is absolutely insane. This is a matter whereby it is CERTAIN that regardless of who started the physical altercation, Zimmerman committed SECOND DEGREE MURDER by physically overpowering a teenager who was 100 pounds lighter and 11 years younger than him and then executing him. Martin was unarmed and it is not plausible to say that a teenager with so much less body mass than Zimmerman posed a risk to Zimmerman's life. Zimmerman had physical superiority over Martin and then executed him. That's a fact. Martin is neither Bruce Lee nor Steven Segall who can rip your voice box out and throw it over the side of the ship in Under Siege.

(2) The Florida authorities were absolutely not doing their job. They gave Zimmerman neither a criminal background check, an alcohol test, a drug test, nor detained him after he killed someone. Zimmerman went free not longer after the killing. The police rushed through witness interviews and contradicted witnesses telling them Zimmerman's side of the story as if it were fact. The police did not even take Zimmerman down to the station to interrogate him. Their effort was not even half-assed, it seems more biased than half-assed.

(3) Zimmerman referred to Martin who had committed no crime as an "asshole" and had already convicted him in his own mind as "they" - the criminals who "always get away." Zimmerman phoned in 36 false alarm 911 calls. Zimmerman may well have been trying to keep crime down, but it appears that he felt the situation was not working with "these assholes" who "always get away" and thus he decided that HE would remove one more "asshole" from the streets of Sanford PERMANENTLY.

For Elder to so strongly argue against the evidence of racism here shows that he just wants to get on the good side of those whites with racial prejudices towards blacks making him an Uncle Tom. That's the Uncle Tom mentality: you can trust me, I'm not like those other negros. Buy my book, give me a show, I'll get these negros in line for you. He gets his merit badges by stabbing fellow black people in the back.
