The problem with the right wing media is that it relies too much on lies and it's very stupid. I remember getting into a debate with a Tea Partier who told me that religion is central to Obama's Affordable Healthcare Act (aka "Obamacare). They entertain douchebags like Donald Trump, Glenn Beck and liars like Sean Hannity. They tell blatant lies like the one about Obama supposedly taking it easy on the New Black Panther Party, when in reality it was Bush who dismissed the charges against them.
Large segments of the GOP are just too worked up on hate, racism and they've worked themselves up into a rabidness and a conservative purism. It's ironic that with all that conservative purism, they ended up with a ridiculous field of Presidential contenders. Rather thank telling the next lie about Obama and accusing of him of planning to allow the Chinese to airlift troops into the country or indoctrinating every child in the country to be gay, a more moral and perhaps more effective strategy would be to actually make an honest case for conservative policies.
I guess an intellectual discussion just doesn't make for as good TV as saying that Obama hates white people and he's planning on surrendering the USA to Venezuela tomorrow.
